Lynnwood, WA (PRWEB) July 26, 2005
Dr. Connie Sanchez, N.D. recently joined the Trinity Family Health Clinic of Lynnwood, WA which has been serving locals as a premier northwest naturopathy clinic for more than 20 years. Dr. Sanchez joins a staff of four Trinity Clinic physicians including Dr. David Wood, Dr. Cheryl Wood, Dr. Kathleen Matteson, and Dr. Mark Monwai.
Â?ItÂ?s a pleasure to be part of the Trinity Clinic team whoÂ?ve known as leaders in northwest naturopathic medicine,Â? says Dr. Sanchez. Â?I bring to the practice a specialty in nutritional-environmental-endocrinology, which focuses on the cause of hormonal imbalances and dysfunctions in addition to treating their symptoms.Â?
Additionally, Dr. Sanchez offers metabolic-type diet testing, an online computerized test that helps patients fine-tune their diet based on their biochemistry.
Dr. Sanchez is a popular lecturer on topics such as hormonal imbalance, womenÂ?s health issues, thyroid health, insulin resistance, chronic fatigue and nutrition. She is listed as a top thyroid doctor on www.thyroid.about.com and is also listed as a treating physician on www.wilsonsthyroidsyndrome.com and www.endfatigue.com.
Â?I strongly believe that food is our best medicine,Â? says Dr. Sanchez. Â?I look forward to counseling my Seattle naturopathy patients on how to substantially improve their health through diet and fitness.Â?
Having taught classes on wellness, nutrition and fitness for more than 15 years, Dr. Sanchez has recently published a book entitled Natural Solutions for Thyroid Disorders (to be released this fall) and has been a frequent guest and occasional host of The Wellness Forum, a Denver-based KHOW radio program.
Before joining the Seattle naturopathic medicine community, Dr. Sanchez completed advanced, post-doctorate training in environmental medicine and detoxification at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Arizona. A Denver, Colorado native, she received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, OR, after graduating with Cum Laude honors from Metropolitan State College of Denver with a B.S. in biology and a minor in chemistry.
Prior to becoming a physician, Dr. Sanchez was a personal trainer and fitness instructor for many years and incorporates fitness plans into her naturopathic practice, as well as clinical nutrition, dietary therapies, functional medicine, botanical medicine, homeopathy, lab testing (i.e., hormones, gastro-intestinal, allergies, heavy metals, etc.), bio-impedance analysis (BIA), and detoxification and cleansing programs.
